The Collections
When I began my journey of discovery almost 50 years ago I never thought about descriptions or explanations of photographs. If I liked what I saw, I pressed the button. Since then this hasn't changed. The essence of a piece of visual art cannot be expressed in words as it is a vessel of the energy and the meaning of its intended content and form. Descriptions or even explanations with words will always fall short. In that sense art is like food: either it tastes good to you or it doesn't.
So, why waste time and even write a single line of text? It simply doesn't need one, and if it does, it isn't that great of a picture. Photographs should speak for themselves, so I prefer always to let them do the talking.

"The content of each photograph is formed by the aligned energy at the moment of image perception." |

However, when I started to have conversations with the academic people of the art world, I received a lot of advice. Their opinions were quite the contrary: “You need to speak more about your work and explain your photographs to the viewer. At the very least, categorize them or build some kind of collections. Otherwise, it's difficult to market them.” I quickly realized they viewed the whole thing more as a marketing issue, rather than giving any thought to the artwork and its impact.
I decided to follow my inner voice and arranged the collections around specific themes that reflect the aligned energy at the moment of image perception – the trigger for my response to what I saw. You are dearly invited to take a closer look, and if you can say once in a while, “Wow, I never would have thought that this is such a beautiful thing” or “I've never looked at this thing in that way” then I am blessed, as a photographer and as a human being. Thank you very much.
