Colorifique takes you on a journey through the magic of life, captured in vibrant color photographs imbued with Roland's deep love for life in all its expressions. Born and raised in Germany, he began taking pictures during the 1970s after seeing Ernst Haas’s "In America", an experience that profoundly shaped his way of seeing.
The book presents a selection of photographs that exhibit a deep sense of visual play and a grasp of form and content. Roland shows atmospheric, graphic and sensory images that often raise questions. Looking at them, you might ask yourself, "I've never seen that before. What is this?", while others let you say, "Why have I never noticed the beauty of such an ordinary thing?" The Limited Edition is a one-time run of 88 copies, corresponding to the 88 images contained in the book. Each copy is accompanied by a fine art print (20 x 20 cm / 8 x 8 inches) of your choice from one of the photographs in the book, printed on high-quality fine art paper using an archival inkjet process that preserves the richness and depth of the original image. Its versatile format makes it easy to frame in a variety of different frame sizes – with or without passepartout – and suitable for rooms of any size. Book and print are individually produced, numbered, dated, and hand-signed by Roland.
Each individually composed set thus creates a personal connection between the book and the selected image. Once all copies have been placed, the Limited Edition is permanently closed.
